Our aim is to provide a stimulating space for people to create art and have fun
Creating art through regular sessions can have several benefits:
Stimulates imagination and improves observations skills: helps to make sense of our complex world or even escape from it, if only for a moment.
Relaxes, clears head space: induces calmness, focused thought, reduced levels of stress and anxiety. Helps to overcome sadness and overall can lead to improved well-being.
Improves connections in the mind: turns problems into stories, challenging beliefs, assumptions, and encouraging open mindedness.
What you can do:
Practice painting and sketching: working on your own subjects, methods and media
Work as a group on a common subject/method/media as a means of learning and discussing different approaches: discuss and review artists, methods and famous works
Use the Kiln facilities (and soon, a purpose built art studio) and exhibit your work in the Kiln
Artists generally like to use their own equipment and materials to match their subject and style.
